The Town of Barnstable recently conducted an audit of the property assessment methodology and application used by the Assessing Division in determining the most recent property valuations for the Fiscal Year 2004 tax bills. The audit provides reasonable assurance that appropriate methodologies and their application were followed and provides several helpful recommendations in our continuing efforts to improve services to the residents of the Town of Barnstable.
