The Town of Barnstable has over 40 boards, committees, and commissions with approximately 291 seats. Our citizen participation is exemplary and the Town
Council appreciates each and every member who serves. When a member moves on, opportunities for new members become available. If you are resident of
Barnstable and believe you have something to offer a board, committee or commission with an open seat, please consider submitting an application. The
appointments committee, made up of five Town Councilors, will interview applicants and make recommendations to the Town Council who vote to appoint members
at their regular meetings.

The Town Council Appointments Committee will be interviewing for open seats
on February 11, 2014 at 5:30pm for:
- Comprehensive Financial Advisory Committee
- Council on Aging
- Disability Commission
- Economic Development Commission
- Historical Commission
- Housing Committee
- Human Services Committee
- Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic District Appeals Committee
- Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic District Commission
- Public Works Commission
- Renewable Energy Commission
- Trust Fund Advisory Committee
- Water Pollution Control Board
- Zoning Board of Appeals
And any other committees that may have open seats.
