Sea Scallop:

Placopecten magellanicus

Although a bit larger in size, another will liked scallop is the sea scallop. They are usually found in deeper water and not usually harvested by the recreation fisherman. They can be used interchangeable in all dishes.

Minimum Legal Size Limit: three and one half (3 1/2) inches in diameter

from the hinge to the outer leading edge.

Recreational Harvest Limit: one (1) level 40 quart tote basket per week.
